A doomsday prepper says she can “finally take a break” from stockpiling after Donald Trump’s election victory because the president-elect will “save us all”.
Rowan MacKenzie, 40, has spent 13 years and a staggering $350,000 stockpiling emergency supplies in anticipation of the company’s collapse.
But after Trump’s landslide victory on Tuesday, Missouri-based MacKenzie, 40, says she will stop adding to her collection because she believes peace and prosperity are much more likely under a Republican administration.
“I’m very grateful that Trump won, and I know a large majority of Americans are, too,” MacKenzie told What’s The Jam. “He is the best for America, as he will bring us out of the darkness and save us all.”
The savvy shopper says she’s not the only one who takes a break from buying supplies like canned food, bottled water and first aid kits.
“For many preppers, its return signifies potential changes in domestic politics and global tensions that will reduce the need for hasty stockpiling,” she explained.
The closeted and loaded redhead said she also has a stash of guns in case things get violent and also looks after chickens on her rural property.
MacKenzie – a “stalwart Trump supporter” – described the controversial former and now future commander-in-chief as “an amazing human being”.
However, she admits that even the president will not be able to prevent every type of disaster.
“America is still very much at risk for wars and natural disasters, as this will never go away,” she said. “But she [Trump’s win] it means we can kind of take a break.”
MacKenzie has previously made headlines for her meticulous emergency preparedness habits.
In 2022, she admitted that she had built a secret bunker inside her basement, which was full of her supplies.
“No. One must for any bunker is protection,” MacKenzie said at the time.
“I would highly recommend having a few guns and knives in your bunker at all times, along with copious amounts of ammo.”
