This is one way to find a pin.
A TikTok creator went shopping for a man at her local Depot – finding the perfect solution to her messy dating life in the hardware aisle.
Katelyn Ansari, in a now-viral video, approached a man — who she described as cute and handsome — while shopping at a home improvement store and asked for his advice on how to hang a large picture frame that didn’t really exist.
“Can you help me find the things I need,” she asked the stranger, who then led her to a line and handed her a hook and some wire.
The video, titled, “I quit dating apps to find a blue-collar man at Home Depot,” has since generated nearly 6 million views on TikTok.
The fling ended with the pair exchanging numbers, texting and going on their first date, according to videos she posted on her platform.
“It felt like a modern fairy tale,” Ansari told People.
“He made me start believing in love and romance again.”
Ansari swore off dating apps after a few bad experiences and turned her sights to her local hardware store in Texas to find a suitable single the old-fashioned way — in person — by checking out the trending “Home Depot Dating” for pitching the idea, People reported. .
Over the past year, single ladies have taken to the social platform to brag about their cool success among screwdrivers and cameras and film themselves “looking confused” as they hope to find a potential soul mate.
“I really didn’t think it was going to work,” she said.
“I’ve been single for about two years and date here and there, but legitimately every man I met on Bumble or Hinge was banned.”
Ansari confirmed that the pair have since become a couple, People reported, adding that she kept her friendship private until she knew “he was the man he claimed to be.”
She started their online relationship hard last month.
