I got a ‘mum makeover’ after giving birth – people tell me it’s ‘selfish’

A mother has been trolled after admitting to making changes to her body after giving birth.

Mother of two Nika Diwa opted to have some plastic surgery after her second daughter with her husband of eight years.

She shared her choice with her 1.3 million Instagram followers, but not everyone was appreciative of the “mommy makeover.”

“Your bus looks great”

Nika boasts over 2 million subscribers on YouTube and on that platform, she later shared an update on her surgery after three weeks.

“Your bum looks great and you haven’t done any major workouts,” her husband tells her in the clip.

“It’s a massive transformation.”

Nika says she was happy with her breasts and her 34C figure, but admitted she was unsure about the appearance of excess skin on her stomach.

Her husband reassured her: “You’re amazing, you’re beautiful, you’re my wife and I love every inch of you.”

Nika’s fans were touched by the way her husband supported her amid the wave of trolling responses.

“I’m proud of him”

Nika first explained in her post on Instagram:

“I feel there should be room for a woman to be selfish about herself, so I did a mommy makeover and I’m proud of it.

Many people said she was “inspirational”, but others argued that the operation is dangerous and should not be normalised.

“No, let’s not celebrate changing midwives, many women cannot afford such a procedure,” said one.

“It’s not okay that you shared this, but no, changing moms, in my opinion, is not normal nor common for less privileged, everyday moms.”

Another viewer said cosmetic surgery should not be associated with motherhood.

“You changed your body because you didn’t like the way it looked anymore… it’s not called a ‘makeup mom’ it’s a tummy tuck,” they wrote.

“Why attach motherhood to the need for surgery because you no longer enjoy your body after having children?

“Do what you will, but to call it a zombie change is crazy to me. Many people who are not moms still get tummy tucks, breast lifts and butts done.

But most of the comments supported the mom.

“It’s your body! So what makes you feel good! You look phenomenal mom!!!” said one person.

Another added:

“Your husband is raising the bar for every single man out there! Just love his praise for you! You are a beautiful woman and with or without the change of mom you are beautiful!â€
